many villagers become rich overnight coz they sell their land to the government
and a lot city guys envy them a lot

with the urbanization of Chinese population, a lot of poor villages will disappear or be abandomed. For the rest villages, the government launches “new countryside” movement, which make many villages beautiful and a lot of villagers move into new houses.

I wish all villages same to this. But unluckily. NOT.
The village get rich when getting compensate from govt for new projects ( FDI factories for example ). They located on east coast or best place.

That doesn’t apply to villages deep inside in the mainland. They don’t want lands of those.
So there’s no chance for villagers to get rich.

From my perspective, I hate these match boxes type apartments or houses..All look similar, no individual identity, no uniqueness, same color, same pattern. Looks more like Lego blocks.

It would be good if these house are spread across in between trees, rivers etc to preserve the natural beauty too. Currently they are concrete jungles. Same stuff is happening in Gurgaon, Indian too…It is becoming concrete jungle, cutting trees, killing lakes/ponds etc.
