【美国网友】成龙之子吸毒被捕

Chinese movie and television star JayceeChan, son of veteran action hero Jackie Chan, is the latest actor to bearrested for drug-related crimes, the South China Morning Post reported today.

中国电影和电视明星房祖名，成龙之子，因毒品问题被捕，《南华早报》报道。

Jaycee Chan, 32, was arrested along withTaiwanese movie star Kai Ko Chen-tung in Beijing, according to reports,although it is still unclear when they were formally arrested. However, bothactors are active on Chinese social media and have not updated their accountssince last Tuesday.

据报道，和32岁的房祖名一同被捕的还有台湾电影明星柯震东，尽管还未知他们是否是被正式逮捕的。但是两人在中国社交媒体上都非常活跃，而从上周二以来，他们的账号都没有得到更新。

Their arrests follow that of Voice ofChina star Li Daimo in March, and the shock arrest of Gao Hu, aprominent actor who starred in Zhang Yimou's The Flowers of War, last week.

The clampdown on celebrity drug use hasbeen ordered by the Chinese government, which has instituted a zero-toleranceapproach to illegal substances. Those stars caught up in drug scandals havebeen turned into public examples and are facing threats to their futureprofessional careers as state arts, film and culture bodies line up behind thegovernment's anti-drug policy.

Most people on here have never spentsignificant time in China. Drug use is quite common. Mostly weed. And mostly incities like Shanghai and Beijing. But plenty of young people do drugs and theharsh punishments are just traffickers and dealers. Drug users get a slap onthe wrist, just like in the US, even less. I know a foreigner who got nailedfor USING crystal meth. He spent 15 days in jail and then walked and was noteven deported. Its not like you guys think. Go to a country and live thereawhile, then comment on here.

You guys have never been to China. Drug useis rampant; mostly weed and ecstacy. And a pay off to the cops lets anyonewalk. @Simpleman, spit on the sidewalk? You definitely have never been toChina. That is one of the complaints that most foreigners have; they spiteverywhere. Sure they will execute traffickers or someone they want to make anexample of, but like I said most people can bribe cops anytime they want. Itsnothing like you think.
