GRABOVO (Ukraine): A Malaysian airliner was brought down over eastern Ukraine on Thursday, killing all 295 people aboard and sharply raising stakes in a conflict between Kiev and pro-Moscow rebels in which Russia and the west back opposing sides.

Ukraine accused "terrorists" — militants fighting to unite eastern Ukraine with Russia — of shooting down the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 with a heavy, Soviet-era ground-to-air missile as it flew from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Leaders of rebels in the Donetsk People's Republic denied any involvement, although around the same time their military commander said his forces had downed a much smaller Ukrainian transport plane — their third such kill this week.

Reuters journalists saw burning and charred wreckage bearing the red and blue Malaysia insignia and dozens of bodies strewn in fields near the village of Grabovo, 40km (25 miles) from the Russian border near the rebel-held regional capital of Donetsk.

Why was the Malaysian airline flying in a war zone risking everyone's lives. Something seems to be seriously wrong in malaysia. Earlier in mh170 for a week they were playing drama that the plane had crashed in the south china sea, wasting everyone's time and then said the plane had changed course. Ukraine claims that it was a no-fly zone. Why did malaysian airlines fly there. Those responsible in malaysia for ordering the airline to fly through the war zone should be punished and sent to jail. Are there any other airlines flying in the no fly zone?????

为什么马航航班要冒着乘客的生命危险飞跃战区，似乎马航存在某些严重问题。上次MH370航班失踪一周时，他们还在演戏，说飞机在南海坠毁了，结果浪费大家的时间；然后又说飞机改变了航向。

I say, it is Malaysian airlines fault of flying over war zone to save the fuel when all other airlines are avoiding that zone. MH have prioritised cost savings instead of highly precious passenger lives.
