"They are not refugees. They can have a very good life in China. They just want to have a better life in Canada," said Wang, a Beijing-born Canadian.

Wang said it was Canada's right to stop its investor program, but it should not disqualify candidates who had already applied.

Typical arrogant chinese, they thought they can fool everyone. They were not let in because their IQ and EQ are way lower than Canada's standard (and maybe about every country's standard). Canada was just courteous enough not to say it in their faces. Seems chinese hasn't figured it out yet.

I am a Canadian citizen, and I lived in Victoria, British Columbia, for 6 years, in the early 80s. Even then, with the loss of Hong Kong approaching, the place was crawling with Chinese, especially in Vancouver. The corner stores were called "Chinese stores".

In early 1977, I taught math at the University of Toronto, and nearly all the students were sour-looking Chinese. It was most depressing.
