Chinese superstar Wen Zhang broke socialmedia records on Monday when he wrote an apology to his wife for anextramarital affair on China'sversion of Twitter Weibo.

周一，中国巨星文章因婚外情在微博（中国版推特）上向妻子致歉，这条微博在社交媒体上创下了记录。


The 29-year-old confessed that he cheated with Yao Di, his co-star on hit televisionseries Naked Marriage after photographs su***ced of the two sharing an intimatemoment.

现年29岁的文章承认自己出轨和共同出演热播电视剧《裸婚时代》的演员姚笛相恋，之前这两人的亲密照片被曝光。


The actor has been married to Ma Yili forsix years and is expecting his second child with her.

文章已经与马伊俐结婚6年了，他们即将迎来第二个孩子。


Zhang's confession, translated by TheHollywood Reporter, states: 'I have brought this upon myself. A mistake is amistake. This has nothing to do with anyone else.Today, I am willing to acceptall the consequences.'

He added: 'I've let down Ma Yili and ourchildren. My mistake does not deserve to be forgiven, and it will be difficultfor me to make amends for all the harm I've caused.

The missive broke all previous social mediarecords in Chinaas the post received 2.5 million comments and 1 million retweets within 10hours.

Zhang's wife, soon responded on the Weibo,writing 'Cherish what you have at the moment'.
